The No-State Solution special issue of The Funambulist

It’s an honor to be part of The No-State Solution special issue of The Funambulist, joining the conversation with Sophia Azeb and a humbling ensemble of artists and writers pushing the conversation and imagination in the direction we need.

My contribution, “A Maya Critique of Global Capital and the Nation-State”, builds on the Zapatistas’ theorizations of the Fourth World War and their metaphor of capitalism as a hydra, asking that we not assume the state is the starting point for politics, that we learn how to live without capital, and that we start building shelter to see the day after this storm.
